With this fund, we help children "waste pickers"

to get out of the landfills, where our wastes are sent,

to go back in school

in order to offer them prospects for the future through education.

Thousands of young children are used in informal recycling plastic waste

and are exploited as cheap labour.

This is the real face of the plastic recycling industry around the world.

These children are mostly trained by "master" burners, older boys or young adults,

many of whom cannot read or write. ​

 

It's time to write together a new story for them.
